Camp Egan is a year-round United Methodist Camp and Retreat Center located near Tahlequah, OK on the

Barren Fork Creek. Covid-19 has left a heavy toll on Camp Egan and the Oklahoma United Methodist camping

ministry. We were prevented from hosting most of our summer camps in 2020, making it impossible to meet

our budget. Your participation in the Egan Challenge will help keep our facilities and faithful staff ready to

welcome campers as that becomes possible and to share the love of Christ in life changing ways. We believe

that Camp Egan is a sacred space where change happens!

The Egan Challenge is a virtual 5k or 10k run to be completed in the month of April. Registration donation per

individual includes a “Fun Run in 2021” t-shirt. Registrations must be received by March 4th in order to get a

shirt to wear on your race day.

Group runs are encouraged. A prize of a free night of lodging at Camp Egan (meals not included) will be

awarded to the individual or those registered as a group who raise the most money. (Prize to be scheduled by

availability and must be redeemed by Dec 31, 2021)

1. Ask your friends or fellow church members to help sponsor registration fees or make a donation. (All

donations are tax deductible)

2. Complete your registration form and mail with registration fee to Camp Egan. Additional donations to

help you win the prize can be mailed by April 30.

3. Choose a day in April, gather your group and have some fun. Be creative. Anytime and

anywhere! The Egan Challenge can be completed in your own neighborhood, on your favorite

running trail, at the park, or even on the treadmill. You may want to find a special way to reconnect

with your neighborhood as you “Run in 2021”.

4. Take photos on race day and then post on social media and tag Camp Egan!

Run, Walk, Jog, Have fun! In fact, you don’t have to run at all. You are welcome to just make a donation.
